Day 9: Bern - Zermatt - Valais (Part 2)

The Marche in Switzerland looks almost the same as the one in SG.
However, it seems to have different variety of food....
and it looked more delicious too!

Our Feast!

Juz outside Marche, there is an outdoor area with beautiful scenery

After our lunch, we bought some sweets and tibits for our trip to Zermatt.

On arrival, we would need to board a rack rail to reach the car-free Zermatt for a walking tour around the idyllic village. Zermatt is nestled amongst fabulous scenery of mountains and glaciers, and offers visitor a fantastic panoramic view of 38 4000m peaks, with the most famous being the Matterhorn, the one on Toblerone chocolate.

Beautiful scenery captured during the train ride.
I'm very glad that my camera survived the fall...
Without the camera, there will not these beautiful photos.

Arrival @ Zermatt

Christmas tree !!!!
With snow everywhere and the deco, one can feel that X'mas is around the corner!

Thick snow on the ground....
Will we ever experience snowfall here???

Donovan enjoyed burying himself in the snow! =p

Trying to make a SG snowman!
First time making a snowman

Cherlyn's cap for the snowman.....

Rosmarrie's Tic Tac as eyes for the snowman.
We found the pine for its nose and 2 branches as its hands!

something seems to be missing here ......

with my scarf, the snowman was completed !!

Great Job!

Hmm...... Somehow our snowman looked emo!
Btw,we had given it a name, his name is Miao Gao....
