Day 2: Arriving in Rome (Part 1)

After travelling on the plane for some 16 hrs, we finally reached Rome, at around local timing 8am!
There is a time difference of 7hrs between local timing and SG timing!

Straight from the airport, we were heading to our first destination, the Colosseum!

first glimpse of the grand structure!

The Colosseum and us!

Neighboring buildings....

the entrance to Colosseum....

the first Christmas tree sighted in Italy!

this looks like a painting =p

One of the few shots that i like

Colosseum is actually an amphitheatre, in the center of Rome, and one of the largest ever built during the Roman Empire. It is considered one of the greatest works of Roman architecture.

Horse carriage spotted

The Arch of Constantine, which commemorates the Battle of the Milvian Bridge in A.D. 312 when Constantine I defeated Maxentius, his rival and co-emperor

A cool van which sells tasty sandwiches, pizza and other food! Walking back to our tour bus and embarked on a journey to our next destination, the Trevi Fountain.
