Ros's Hen Party

It was Ros's Hen Party today. Honoured to be invited but feeling out of place and guilty at the same time. Nevertheless, the room that was decorated for the day.

Girls' talk session.
All the dark secret of Ros revealed!

Playing with the balloons before fetching the bride-to-be.

Dressing Ros up!

 Ta-da!!!

Ros' sisters!!!

One of the task for the day was a cooking session at Coriander Leaf to prepare her for future role. A cooking session for all of us too! Whether our dinner would turn out nice depends very much on us! We were split into different teams, with each team handling different dishes.

Ah Lu, another gal and I were in the same team. While the 2 ladies were busy preparing the Grilled Eggplants with Pomegranate & Mint Salad, I was given an easy task of preparing Tomato Soup scented with Cumin.

These ladies were preparing one of our mains, Gratinated Miso Salmon with Buttered Asparagus. In the process of marinating the salmon.

The star of the night was in charge of preparing another main, Sarawak Black Peppercorn Beef Fillet with Confit of Pineapple and Baby Romaine Lettuce.

Chopping the asparagus!

Done with the grilling of the eggplants.
Time to arrange the eggplants nicely on the serving plate.

Ros looked like a maid being bullied by the rest of the ladies!

Final warning!!!
Pls be serious while cooking! =x

Checking out the asparagus

Nearing completion!
The plate looks colourful and appetising!
No wonder they always emphasize on the presentation of the dishes.

Slicing the beef fillet like a pro!
She makes a good wife!

Our dinning table was being set up!

My Tomato Soup was completed!
Ready to be served!

The chef helping in serving the soup! =x

One of our starter, Mango with a Chilli & Lime Freeze!

The completed Grilled Eggplants with Pomegranate & Mint Salad, and the Gratinated Miso Salmon with Buttered Asparagus! Nicely arranged and it looked delicious! With proper guidance we can be chef too! =p

Sarawak Black Peppercorn Beef fillet with Confit of Pineapple and Baby Romaine Lettuce

Everything taste so delicious!!!!

After we have finished our mains, it was time for Ros to work again. This time, she was preparing our desserts! Creative Ros working on different artwork for each of us!

Almost done, adding the berries to all the plates

Ros's master piece!

And lastly, the Warm Valrhona Chocolate cakes were ready to be served.

Ta-da!
A snail for me!

Reaching the hotel, Ros was given a task by the ladies to ask for a free room from the receptionist. We have told the receptionist of the plan and he sportingly agree to play along with us.

Ros: "You see lah, kena rejected! Very embarrassing leh. Impossible to ask for a free room just because it is my Hen's nite."

The ladies: "You are not trying hard enough! Trying using your charm!"

Ros: "Okie, I'll give it another shot!"
Maximum charm up!!
Blink blink, wink wink! =p

Ros: "Hey, my charm works!"
And the party continued into the night!
Congrats and have a blissful marriage!!

A trip to Garden by the Bay

Finally purchased the tickets to the Garden by the Bay, which includes the admission to Flower Dome and Cloud Forest. The weather was pretty hot and being in an air-conditioned place felt really good.

First stop, Flower Dome!

Random shots of the flowers and plants......

 Random self-shot

This cactus looks like a monster with red eyes

 Next stop, Cloud Forest!

One just got to have these shots of the "avatar-like" structure when visiting Garden by the Bay. It was beautiful sight with the lights at the night. In a trigger-happy mood! Thankfully, the photos looked pretty decent though take without a tripod.

One can consider exploring Garden by the Bay if you have not been there before.
Hope Singapore will have many more interesting places in the future!
