Day 6: Lugano (Part 3)

As we travel north towards Switzerland, the weather turned colder.
Here we were at the border, crossing over to Switzerland!!

Beautiful landscape upon crossing the border!

The mountains and the lake is a beauty!

Our first stop was at Lugano. It was a beautiful place by the Lugano Lake, with the mountains at the background. It was very peaceful too! Fell in love with the place.

there were ducks and swans swimming around freely in the lake
these 2 ducks were diving for food....

weird-looking tree

More ducks swimming in the lake =p

Gal was too scared to go near to the seagull again! =p

The seagulls looked so fake! =p
I wondered y were all of them facing the same directions.

There was an outdoor ice-skating rim on the other side of the road.
Now, can you imagine how cold it is?
But we still do not see any snow. =(

After some sight-seeing in Lugano, we were heading to our hotel where we will be having our dinner.

It's dinner time! After we had checked in and put down our luggage, we went down to the restaurant for our dinner. It was a three-course meal for us!

First course, the corn soup.
Taste kinda bland, think Campbell soup taste better?

Our main course, grilled fish with pasta was disappointing as well.
Guess one cannot expect much when travelling with tour?

At least the dessert was quite decent ....

After dinner, our tour guide from Singapore brought us to a near-by shopping center for a walk.

The nicest chocolate slabs in Switzerland, Merkur.
Cautions!!! It is very addictive!!
Remember to bring some back home if you are going to Switzerland

This was the hot red wine stall that our local guide wants us to try.
It was one of the popular drinks among the locals.

Not sure if they had add anything to the red wine as it taste a bit weird.
Both of us still prefer to have it chilled. =p
Headed back to the hotel with apples, chips and mineral water from the supermarket.

And this was Gal's Prada bag purchased in Milan.
Time to rest for tomorrow's trip to Mount Titlis
