Day 9: Bern - Zermatt - Valais (Part 1)

Leaving Interlaken after breakfast, we arrived at Bern. Bern is the capital of Switzerland, and is the fourth largest populous city in Switzerland. This was the first building that we saw, the House of Parliament.

This is the Clock Tower (Zytglogge) in Bern. It was built in the early 13th century, and it has served the city as a guard tower, prison, and clock tower. This is the western clock face.

Bear Pits, but no bears spotted.
All hibernating perhaps?

Altes Tramdepot, a brewpub beside the bear pits

Awesome beer !

After a drink, we were back on the coach to embark on a road trip to Zermatt.
We will be stopping over at Marche for lunch.
