Day 6: Milan (Part 1)

Today was our last day in Italy and we would be crossing over to Switzerland in the late Afternoon. After breakfast, we would be embarking an orientation tour of Milan. Highlights include Teatro alla Scala, one of the world's most famous opera house in the world and Milan Cathedral, which is the world's fourth largest Church.

After which, we will continue to visit the beautiful 19th century Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a site for many luxury goods; shops like Prada and Louis Vuitton.

This is something from the English Breakfast that we had for the past 4 days....
A slice of cake! =)

Chocolate cake with a crispy bottom for me!

and some cornflakes to fill our stomach ......

and they had great Salamis too ......
i just got to have some meat! =p

Holiday Inn Hotel is definitely one of the best hotel we have stayed in, other than the Quid Hotel.
Pretty Christmas tree at the hotel lobby.

cosy corner at the hotel lobby ....

On our way to Castello Sforzesco. This was originally a military fortress, and the new and improved defense were designed by Leonardo da Vinci.

Our tour guide was telling us we should take a shot with the background above.
The sign on the left is actually the "Alpha Romeo" Logo.

the movie setting! =p
Simply love the background!

Gal and our new-found friends, Carol and Rosemarie !

could not get a good shot with many people crowding the fountain ......

another fail attempt =(

The weather had started to turn cold, and it was only between 8-10 degree.
There were mist coming out from our mouth when we were speaking.
Unable to capture it though. =p

This is the statue of Giuseppe Garibaldi in front of Castello Sforzesco. We would be continuing our journey to Teatro alla Scala, and to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, where we would be doing some shopping!
