Day 4: Florence (Part 2)

Here we were hitting the road again to the Factory Outlet place, Barberino Designer Outlet.

Barberino Designer Outlet in a beautiful setting of Valle della Sieve, just half an hour from Florence and less than an hour from Bologna. Designed like a real Renaissance village, the Barberino Designer Outlet has more than 100 clothing, sports, home furnishings, and accessories stores of the famous brands, at prices that are reduced by 30% to 70% all year round.

It was a shopping paradise for gal!

Beautiful scenery, looked juz like a countryside village.
It was so peaceful.

We managed to squeeze out some time for a quick lunch before continuing to explore the area. This was our lunch place Borgo Cafe. It was a buffet, around EUR 18.00 for a plate, and you can stack whatever food you want within the limited space.

Well, EUR 18 was quite cheap for a meal for 2. =)

Here our plate to share!
Do we look like the typical kaisu Singaporean?? =x

Back to shopping time!

After spending around some 2-3 hours at the Designer Outlet, it was time to leave for our dinner place. Dinner was very disappointing, a Chinese Cuisine! Omg, we were like, OMG, why are we eating Chinese food in Italy?".

It was so bad that I do not even bother to capture either the restaurant or the food. It was not appealing at all, even the rice was bad. This was one of the few rare occasion that I did not even finish my bowl of rice.

We headed out to a supermarket to buy some snacks to munch and to restock our daily mineral water supply. Mineral water in Italy is very expensive! A bottle of mineral water cost ard EUR 2, that is around SGD 3.20! We would go for the 1.5l mineral water as it cost ard EUR 3 only, more cost savings.

And one thing we have noticed, the wines were relatively cheap! With the mineral water costing around EUR 2 on the average, while the wines were priced ard EUR 4 -5, it seems that getting wines were more worth it. Juz tat it does not quench thirst.

We must say this is one of the best hotel we stayed in Italy. It is a realatively new hotel by Best Western, with free Wi-fi and cosy bedroom!

Nice hotel lobby

Our shoppings loots of the day.
The top 2 handbags were for our mums, while one of the wallet below is gal's.
