Unpleasant experience with Double Bliss Bridal Shop

We won a free wedding photo shoot package worth $2,888 and a One Nite Wkend stay @ Meritus Mandrain Hotel @ Wedding Show back in Dec 09 in a lucky draw. Initially we were very happy, as this is the first time we have ever win a prize in a lucky draw.

As we already had a wedding package, we tried to sell this package away, going as low as $1,488. When we went down to the shop to find out more details about the package, we found out that it was all a marketing gimmick !!

This is not even good enough to be considered a full pre-wedding shoot package. Considering that it is a $2,888, which is only a few hundred off the usual $3,388 package that most bridal shops are offering, this package totally sucks!! This is juz like a NORMAL photoshoot tat's all, with free rental of 2 wedding gowns and there's only 12 poses !

The boss tried to explain to us and keep persuading us to top up to make the package a complete one, thinking that we are some fools. To me, this thingy is worth at most $1 k ! When we tell him wat we can really get for a $2,888 package else where, the boss was at a loss for words. What does this say ??

Not willing to fork out anything and pissed with the attitude of the boss, we told him that we'll juz take the free package that's offered to us. Arranged the photo shoot a week before CNY........

After the photoshoot, arranged another day to select the 12 photos that we like. Again, the boss try to persuade us to fork out like $100 for each page of album with design, and for the whole album to have design inside of juz a full page photo, it cost like some $1,500 !!!

Crazy !!!! $1,500 on top of a package that is worth $2,888 gives u $4K plus package. And a $4K plus package for juz a 12 poses album with some art page design?? And we ask him if anyone would actually pay $4K plus for this kind of end product, he again got nothing to say.

We have to think some of the poses ourselves instead of the photographers directing us. Not a very good experience either. Thank god this is not the actual pre-wedding shoot, else both of us would definitely regret it !

JB outing

Went to JB with Sec Sch friends. Had a relaxing foot reflexology, and feasting nice, cheap zi char. Ended the day with a mahjong session at friend's house. The mahjong rules is unlike the usual ones. The shooter gotta pay for the rest for throwing the winning tile or if anyone "gong". Winning a game with "concealed" hand will upped ur "tai".

Think this shall be my last time playing this kind of mahjong. The probablity of losing is far greater than the normal mahjong. Paid a heavy price for being too paisei to turn down my friends.

Escaping from the Monday's blues ...

No Monday blues for me today as I'm on leave. Annie and i were supposed to have our lunch @ Seven On Club. We were looking forward to this lunch as this was booked via Restaurant Week, where fine dining and mid range restaurant offers 3-course menu @ a special price.

Reached the place at 1pm and the restaurant looks empty to us. At a closer look, there's a notice saying it's closed for maintenance. Weird ! If they are having a maintenance on this day, why do they still allow reservations and keep sending reminders for the past few days??

Called up the orgainiser to clear the confusions. The organiser apologised and made an exception to reschedule our booking outside the campagin week. Haiz.... no nice lunch.....

Walked around thinking of a nice yet not-so-ex place to eat. After sometime, we decided to settle down @ Itacho Sushi at Ion.

With this, we ended our day. Gotta work the following day for both of us le. Four more days to weekends...... Headed to Geylang for Rochor Beancurd for a light supper before we go to bed.

Everything with Fries !!

Another rainy day, weather seems to be weird recently. Went to Marina Parade for Koi and visited the pet shop. There were lots of cute puppies and colourful fishes. Both me and Annie were playing with a tank of colourful crabs when i accidentally drop a piece of tissue inside. To think the crabs were actually afraid of the tissue!! Fled the crime scene before the shop assistant caught us.

After shopping at Parkway Parade, head to Everyday with Fries for dinner. The place seems to be quite crowded.

Annie tot this is a new cosy Awfully Chocolate dining place but this is actually an office... Head to Katong Mall to get the ice-cream from Awfully Chocolate but the person in front of us bought everything. No desserts for both of us.
