Day 3: Florence (Part 3)

From Ponte Vecchio, we continued on to our next destination, the Piazza della Signoria

Along the way, we spotted this stand with lots of padlocks. We were told by the tour guide that authorities had to remove the padlock time to time to prevent the numbers from growing. A pledge of love? =)

Last look at the bridge before it disappear from our sight

Artist dressed up as different statues for basking. Think we came across a similar one along Orchard Road. So maybe this is the place where it originated from?

This Cupid was the most popular among all the "statues".
It was cute and funny, and able to engage the tourists!

Finally arriving at Piazza della Signoria, the heart of Florence.
The place is full of people!

The Fountain of Neptune

We want Gelato ice-creams !!!!!

Leaving our footprints behind ......

a showcase of various statues .....

A Christmas Market in the open area .....
Something like the Pasar Malam in SG .....

We had some free time to explore the area before setting off for our dinner place. And the ladies head straight to hunt for their Gelatos! Another awesome treat of ice cream!

Satisfied ! =)

So were we too!

This was our dinner place. Our tour guide had been telling us that the steak here is great, hence that raised my expectation. We had an options to choose between Salmon or Steak for our main. A three-course meal for tonight.

Wow wow!
And we had a complimentry red wine to go along our steak!

Our starters!
Some breads with different fillings on top, and salami!
Oh my, i love salami !!!

My gal and I were kinda of confused when we were served with pasta.
Does Italian have pasta as their starters ?
They sure have a big appetite!

There were live bands in the restaurant ...

This guy sings very well, juz liek any other opera singer!
Cool !

Gal's Salmon Steak! It looks appealing and it was nicely cooked! It was soft, tender and juicy. It was kinda of a surprise that the salmon steak taste quite nice without much dressing.

My Steak! It was kinda of disappointing after all the hype. Guess the steak was over-cooked as it was damn tough. I had a hard time cutting and it sure worked out my arm muscle. It was pretty dry as well. Regretted for not choosing the Salmon Steak instead. Juz recalled that the waiter did not ask how we want our steak to be cooked.

Well, the nicest item on this plate, sadly, was the potatoes.

Cheers! Have been drinking many glasses of red wine as most of the people at the table do not drink red wine. Guessed i looked like a lobster! =x

Ice cream, our last course.
Well, it is impossible to get this wrong. =p

Looking at the collection of wines, probably the good wines.
Saying goodbye to the restaurant and heading back to our hotel!
Bu....rrrrrp!
