Bkk Day 5, Our Last Day ......

Time Flies ...... 4 days just flashed past and it's our last day in Bangkok. The thought of going back to SG and back to work is quite sianz.

We woke up quite early and had an early breakfast as we gotta check-out by 12pm. Haha, trying to stuff ourselves before going for our last min shopping !!

I tried mixing cereals and fruits with the strawberry yogurt and it turns out to be quite tasty ! Gal even wanna try it back in SG =p

Our hotel is the tallest building in Bangkok and it has a revolving observatory deck at the highest floor. Being the hotel guest, it is free of charge. Since this is our last day here, we decided to go up and take a look.

Up here, we can see the spectacular view of Bangkok and maybe beyond on a good weather. Should have come up here on one of the nites. Guess the nite scenery would be much more beautiful. Nice clouds, good weather and we are able to have a good view.

Gal pointing to the directions of Japan, Korea, Taiwan, etc .....

After some sight-seeing, both of us head back to Platinum Mall where we try to spend every bit of our money left, leaving just enough for lunch, dinner and some cab fares. Gal simply love to shop there, cos everything is cheap.

Crepes and Co is our venue for lunch. Nice, cozy place that is well-received for its crepes. This place is located at Soi 12, which is near the Lavana Spa which we went few days ago.

My yummy egg benedicts with diced salmon !!

The eggs are nicely done, and egg yolk can be seen flowing oozing out !

my gal's seafood marinara crepes !

Crepes is the restaurant signature dish but i have a soft spot for egg benedicts. I must say the egg benedicts is much better than most of the restaurants in sg ! While we are waiting for our desserts to come .......

Mouth-watering fruits crepes with mango syrup ! It doesn't taste too sweet and blends well with different diced fruits ! There is also a hidden vanilla ice-cream ! Sweet temptation ! =p

she's juz in love with swings ....
reviving her childhood memories .....

After a full lunch, walk around nearby shopping centers before making our way to Erawan Shrine to offer our prayers. It is located near Grand Hyatt Erawan, near Chit Lom BTS station. It is one of the popular Shrine and it is crowded with worshippers all days. A newscaster was also seen at the site doing recording.

It's near 6pm and we head back to our hotel to collect our luggage before making our way to the airport. Flight @ 9.20pm, and we need to check-in around 2 hrs in advance.

After checking-in our luggages, wonder around the terminal. No much things to shop and not much choice of dinning places too. Compared to Hong Kong airport, there not much to shop around and past time. Eventually settle down at Mango Tree for dinner. Heard from gal that sg actually do have a Mango Tree outlet too, but wonder will the standard be the same?

prawny thai popiah

Thai Papaya Salad !!

Pad Thai !!!!

Cam's battery died after this shot !! unable to capture the beautiful nite scenery of Singapore when we were nearing airport. Flight got delayed and we reached home near 2am instead of 12 plus. Lucky that i took additional day of leave to rest.

Bangkok is really a land of smile. All the people there are nice, with good service attitude compare to those in SG. It is also a shopping and food paradise. FYI, we do shop alot and bought alot of things, just that there are not photos of us shopping ! So this is definitely not a feasting trip for both of us. Looking forward to our next trip !
