Day 3 of Bangkok Trip!

We had a light breakfast before roaming aimlessly.
Main itinerary of the day is the High Tea session and massage.

Bought a packet of Thai Mango along the way to the BTS.
Awfully sour for me, and the packet of chilli powder was very spicy!!

This was a random trip to the relatively new Gateway Ekama Shopping mall. It is located beside the Ekkamai station. This Japanese lifestyle mall consist of 8 floors, and can find many a wide range of Japanese products such as food, clothing and electronics.

However, this was quite a disappointing trip. There was actually nothing much to see or shop in the mall. We reached there at around 11:30am and most of the shops were still closed. We managed to cover the whole mall in maybe less than an hr?

We were feeling a bit hungry by now. Decide to head to Mont Nom Sod, located at MBK for their famous spread on bread and drink.

No, this was not a peanut butter spread. This was actually one of the popular choice, the kaya spread. It was quite thick and sweet, unlike the kaya back in Singapore. We almost wanted to buy a bottle back to Singapore! Ordered a cup of iced green tea with milk to go with the bread.

Yes, we are roaming aimless. We were back to the streets opposite Siam Paragon. There were shops that sells nice and trendy clothings. However, their prices were also quite "NICE"!

Finally, it was time for our Thai Afternoon Tea session at Erawan Tea Room. This was very popular among the locals and tourists as well. Though the place looks like a high end café, it only cost 320 THB net per person!

Nice, cosy place!

Our drinks!
Thai lemon grass for gal and Thai milk tea for me!

And here's the spread!

A close-up shots on all the items!

And this is my favourite among all, the Thai Mango Sticky Rice! This was probably the best mango sticky rice that we have ever tried. Fragrant rice with coconut taste paried with the slippery, juicy mango! It made us craved for more! If only the portion is larger!

A satisfying meal, and I dun mind to come back here again!

Finally it was time for Spa session. We are back at the Lavana Spa, which we really enjoyed the session during our first trip to Bangkok. It was quite popular among the tourists and reservations are recommended to avoid long waiting time when one walks in.

This time round, we decided to take the Lavana Dream package 2, a 3 hr program. It consist of body scrub, oil massage and the herbal ball.

The couple massage room

Nice desserts for us when we are done with the massage

Here the venue for our dinner today, The Iron Fairies. It is a popular bar/pub among the locals, where they serve food, alcohols and cocktails, and also live bands! It was also known for nice burgers.

Check out their cool website: http://www.theironfairies.com/

Complimentary nuts for us, cocktail for gal and beer for me!

Cool interior decoration!

Huge juicy and delicious burger!

Finger-licking-gd sea food platter!

They have nice, live jazz music!
Cool chilling place, delicious food and live jazz music.
What more can you ask for?

After we have finished our dinner and walking back, we realised that we are actually near a dessert place where many bloggers recommended, Dr Jones Orphanage. Since we were nearby, and there's room for desserts, we decided to drop by the place.

There is a beautiful merry-go-round- like structure in the middle of the sitting area. The café is full of bears and childhood stuffs. It really does look like a cosy playroom for kids!

Bears for the gals!
And the menu were designed like books.
Love the vintage feel.

Toy soldiers figurines for the guys!
Charged!!!!!!

Wide selections of cakes at the cake counters with an open kitchen concept.
You can actually view the baking process.

Our cakes!

and the smiley drinks!

Shoot like a pro! =p

Oh no, my tummy is bulging!! Too much feasting within a single day, and can't imagine having sinful desserts at nearly 12am! time to head back to the hotel to rest!
