Day 2 of Bangkok Trip!

Looking sleepy in this photo. Slept at around 3am the night before and was woke up by gal at 8:30am for our breakfast at the hotel.

Our outfit of the day! =p

Our American breakfast before we started our day shopping!

Some random shots while shopping at Siam Paragon.

We planned to have our lunch at Vanilla Brasserie initially but it was closed for renovation. How unlucky can we be! However, we managed to chance upon a nice Italian restaurant, Amici by Pomodoro. It is located at the ground floor of Siam Paragon.

Nice, warm bread with unique condiments.
Usually, bread are usually served with olive oil and vinegar.

Our starters!
Thinly sliced Parma Ham with melon!
It just taste so refreshing!

and here came our pasta .....

Gal's Spaghetti with Mixed Seafood in spicy tomato sauce! It had a generous portion of seafood, and the most important thing is its freshness.

My Spaghetti with mushroom in Truffle Sauce and Herbs.
Looks like a simple dish but it was delicious and did not taste jelat!
I wouldn't mind having another serving!

Ending our lunch with a signature Italian desert, Tiramisu.

After our lunch, we headed down to Union Mall, a relatively new shopping centre which is a favourite among the local. One can take BTS to Mo Chit, after which you transit at MRT, Chatuchak Park. Then alight at Phahon Yothin, which is just one stop away. The mall is right next to the station exit.

This place is simply a heaven for shoppers. The building has 8 levels, though the upper levels were not fully operation. We felt that it has better clothings in terms of quality and design, wide range of clothings, accessories and shoes, spacious and you can try the clothings at most of the shops. In terms of prices, it is only slightly more expensive then the shops in Platinum Mall.

Exhausted from all the shopping, it was time to fill our stomach!

Dinner at Ban Khun Mae Restaurant, one of the restaurant recommended by the bloggers! It is quite accessible and within walking distance from Siam Paragon. You get to enjoy authentic Thai food in a causal, comfortable setting while the prices are not damaging to the wallets. Another tick on our checklist! =p

The tasty Baked Rice in Pineapple, and it only cost 100 Baht!

Steamed Snapper with Lime that cost only 280 Baht!
Where can you order a fish at least than SGD 6 in Singapore??
Fresh, tender meat soak with spicy, lime broth

They have 3 different set menu for 2 to choose from, and it cost 460 Baht. We order the Set A and it comprised of the below dishes:

- Deep Fried Chicken Wrapped with Pandanus
- Shrimp Spring Roll
- Stir-Fried Mixed Vegetables
- Chicken Green Curry
- Spicy Charcoal Grilled Beef Salad
- Rice
- Mixed Fruits

The set meal is really value for money as one can get to try 5 different dishes, which is cheaper as compared to ala carte menu. The tough decision is to choose the which meal to settle for as there were too many dishes that we would like to try! =p

While walking towards the Siam Station, we passed by an alley where there are shops selling nice clothings and polaroids.
On a boat ride to the next shopping destination, Asiatique. Came to know that this is a replacement of the Suam Lum Night Bazaar. They offer free shuttle boat services daily from 16:00 - 23:30 at Sathorn Pier, located near Sapan Taksin BTS station.

Trendy clothings by local designers can be found here.

They have nice chilling places and restaurants as well.
It was a day full of shopping and feasting!
