Day 1 of Bangkok trip!

This was our long awaited trip, and also our only trip of the year. We were heading to Bangkok for 5 days 4 nights. Our usual Coffee Bean's breakfast at Terminal 1 before flying off.

We had a shot at Changi Millionaire with the cosmetic purchases at the Duty Free shop, but we did not win anything despite have 15chances! Haiz....

Our choice of hotel for this trip is Glow. Previously, we have always stay in Baiyoke Sky whenever we travel to Bangkok but there were many bloggers recommending this new hotel, which is much more convenient as it is located juz diagonally across Platinum Mall, along the main road.

Also, for almost the same price, the hotel room has free Wi-Fi! No regrets staying in this hotel! Highly recommended for people looking for a good hotel, which is not too pricey.

The service of the hotel staff was also fantastic and they allowed us to check-in at 10am rather than strictly at 2pm.

After resting a bit, we headed down to the food court at Platinum Mall to have our lunch. Trying out some of the dishes that some bloggers recommended. The Duck Noodles, Salted Egg Thai Mango Salad and Phad Thai.

There were several other food which we would love to try but we were too full. We spotted many Singaporeans at the food court too! =p

We have also tried highly recommended waffles. Another tick on the checklist! After our meals, it was time to sweep the Platinum Mall top down, level by level.

Our first coffee break after 2 hrs of shopping.

By the time we finished combing through all the shops in Platinum Mall, it was already 6pm. Some street shots along the way to Big C shopping center. I was told that the fish above was very delicious, but we do not dare try due to the hygiene purpose.

Evening view of Bangkok street, where traffic is not that congested.

Night view of Bangkok street, terrible traffic jam!

Our first dinner in Bangkok, Nana Thai Cuisine. It is located in Central World, 7th floor and the average price of the dishes was between 100 - 400 Baht. not too expensive for restaurant food.

Kang Kong in Thai style, Chicken wrapped in Pandan leaves, Kuuy Teaw Ruar (Boat Noodle Soup) and lastly, muz-have Seafood Tom Yum Soup.

After our dinner, we exploring the near-by shopping centers while try to past time. We were planning to go to the Red Sky to chill for the night.

Here we were at Red Sky. Red Sky is located at Central World, 55th Floor. It is a Chic Urban Bistro Dining place with an outdoor chilling area where one can have a panorama view of the Bangkok city.

The restaurant observe strict dress code, minimum smart casual and the Happy Hours is from 17:00 to 19:00. There is live band performing from 19:15 - 23:30. One can relax and chill, with beautiful scenery and music.

And that tall building was Baiyoke Sky!

The live band was fantastic!

Drinking and chilling away.
If only we can be so carefree everyday!

A nice, gathering place for friends too.

Well, we walked all the way back from Central World. We could have take a cab back and it's not really that far. Glow hotel looks cool at night with the lighting.

Here's some photos which I have forgotten to snap earlier on. Nice, spacious room, and the furniture looks very clean and new! If you are travelling to Bangkok and have not decide which to stay with, why not give Glow a try. =)

It was suppose to be a relaxing trip, or for us to recuperate. But we ended up sleeping later than usual! =x
