A Trip to the Philatelic Museum

There was still some time to spare after we finish our heavy brunch. As the Philatelic Museum was just beside it, gal suggested to go to the museum. As both of us are not stamp collectors nor have any interest in stamps, i was wondering if there's anything nice exhibits. There is also a mini exhibitions on stamps featuring Ferrari in conjunction to the F1 event.

Purchased our tickets at the counter and we were all prepared to roam around. Cool tickets as it look like mini vintage envelops. The admission fee is $5.

Cinderella's stamps !

The top left corner are 2 stamps with Swarovski crystals, a collectible item. Not too sure what is Simpson doing here. It is neither a stamp or has any connection to stamps. Bottom left cornet is a cute DIY fruit stamp stickers ! There are 10 fruits to choose from and one can be creative and design it's facial expression and costume. Bottom right shows the various mail boxes from various countries.

there are mail boxes in the shape of flamingo and airplane.
Gal is trying to mail something out !

Haha, these stamps defintely going to fetch high values ! Gal forced me to take a shot with the Happy Birthday spects ! Thank god there were nobody around at that time. =p

Trying to send love letter to my gal ..........

but upon receiving it, she fold it into paper aeroplane !!! sadz ..... =p

This museum is really small compared to SAM or the National Museum. Finished the first level in less than 20 mins and we decided to explore the 2nd level. This is the first room that we came across and there were alot of props for us to take photos! Not too sure how is this vintage coffee shop gotta do with the history of the stamps. One Kopi O pls ! =p

This "auntie" wearing clogs with huge luggage is sitting at the pier waiting for her boat =P

Today is my birthday, but there is no off for a coolie.
I still gotta work and carry heavy sack of rice.

Part-time lion dance performer !

This mirror seems to make us look elongated.....

Caught this shot while i am adjusting the settings. As i didn't bring along tripod, gotta find whatever i can as a support and take a photo of both of us. Gal looks like she's been punished by me to standing against the wall ! But hey, i'm not so evil hor !

Gal with the world map, showing various mailboxes from respective countries. Sadly, the mailbox from Singapore seems to be the most dull one.

And here we are at another room where we can take candid shots ! We love candid shoots and not many people are open to crazy, unglam or fun shots with me ! =p

A day in the post office .....

Mr Postman explaining the various postage charges ........
Pls pay attention !!

Your "hippy" postman collecting letters from the mailbox !!

And well, this is the so-call attraction for the month, the "mini" exhibition show casing the Ferrari. It's really mini ! Just two notice board with a few stamps. With this, we ended our tour and head straight to East Coast Park for dinner. Dinner @ Tong Lok Seafood Restaurant with my friends for my birthday celebration, and my gal's as well since hers is 6 days after mine !
