feasting, feasting and more feasting !!

Finally cleared my IPPT last Sat after my 4th try, and that means freedom for me ! No RT and freedom to feast and eat junk food !

There were 2 food festival/exhibition in town, Taiwan Food Festival @ Clarke Quay, and Food Fair @ Suntec City. Went to the Taiwan Food Festival first, and i saw my Jolin everywhere !! The owners of these food stalls are Taiwanese and the ingredients are mostly flown in from Taiwan, hence making it almost authentic Taiwan food.

Zhuang Yuan Guo ....
dun think i came across this in Taiwan....

the famous oyster egg and oyster mee suan !
those eggs looks yummy somehow !

the guan cai ban looks delicious ....
decided to buy this as we miss this out during our Taiwan trip

The bread is still crispy despite the creamy fillings in the bread. The sauce was not too thick, and it blends well with the meat and veggies cubes inside.

Headed to Suntec's Food exhibition for the next stop. However both of us were disappointed, not much food and the place was smokey and greasy. Couldn't find my Beijing duck with popiah's skin.

Left after 10 mins and shop around the area before going over to City Square for dinner and checking out Gong Cha.

Gal was telling me about this Japanese Foodstreet @ City Square and decided to check this out. Concept wise it is quite similar to Manpuku @ Tampines One, however, the price was much cheaper.

my gal's nice yaki soba

My cha siew ramen taste normal.
However, it is not too bad if you are only paying ard $6 for it.

The raspberry yakult drink @ Japanese street. The yakult taste overpowered the raspberry, and though it is a bit dilute, it still taste quite nice. Other than this, it has mango yakult and i think kiwi yakult (if i remember the last one correctly).

After exploring City Square for a while, head down to B2 for Gong Cha. We were a bit surprised to see that there were not a lot of people at the stall.

Posioned by the 50mm prime lens recently, changed to the prime lens to start shooting !

I ordered the milk tea with pearls, 75% sugar while my gal ordered something similar to Koi's Aloe Vera Ai Yu. Verdict....... Koi is still much better!! Gong Cha's milk tea is a bit bitter, got a bit bit tea leaf taste while i prefer Koi's milky taste. Pearls wise, Koi's is more chewy and soft compare to Gong Cha.

As both Gong Cha's outlets are not so easily accessible, I'll return again.

love the bokeh effect of the prime lens ....

my gal's "MacDonald's footwear"!!

Rewound to July 2009, when both of us were in Hong Kong. Gong Cha is one of the famous bubble tea in Hong Kong and it always attracts huge crowd throughout the day. The standard of the SG's Gong Cha pales in comparison to the one we had in Hong Kong.

Hmm.... we seems to have change a lot over the yr =s
