Belated Celebration

As promised, a belated celebration @ The White Rabbit for my gal. This was the place which we celebrated our 4th Anniversary. Returning to the same place one year later set us wondering if the restaurant would be able to maintain the same standard.

The White Rabbit has a wide selection of dishes for its brunch menu. And that actually gives us a big headache as we took quite a bit of time to select our picks.

Pretty pink daisy for the birthday gal

The White Rabbit is both a restaurant and bar housed in a restored chapel located off Dempsey Road. The interior design is beautiful, especially the stained glass located at both ends of the building.

Our dishes are here !!!
A preview of the things that we ordered

I have bad memory. Could not remember what is the name of this dish. There are 3 distinct layers; the smoked salmon at the top, scrambled eggs in the middle, and muffin at the bottom. The white thingy right at the top taste a bit like sour cream, though it looks more like a whipped cream. It goes well with the smoke salmon. And on top of the sour cream are black caviar !!

My routine Egg Benedicts ! It looks mouth-watering ! The egg benedict looks very ordinary at first sight, juz an egg, ham and muffin. But i was not disappointed at all after i had my first bite. Best of all, the egg yolk do not have a raw taste.

One of the Gal's favorite dish, Pan Fried Foie Gras. It was neither hard nor dry. It was cooked to near perfection as it literally melts in the mouth.

i love my egg benedicts !!

Gal wanted to take me cutting my egg bendicts. And there she goes snapping the whole process.

Egg: "Please dun eat me...."
Egg: "Ouch!! You juz cut me!!"
Egg: "Ok, I'm bleeding..."

Opps..... We forgot about our bread. The White Rabbit serves free-flow of breads and there were 3 choices of breads. Both of us chose the onion bread as it is the most fragrant of among the 3 breads !

It's Bread Time !!

Nice Window grills

Our Fav course of the meal, Dessert ! No matter how full we are, we will defintely make room for it !

Gal's Mars Bar Souffle with Hazelnut creme and Chocolate Ice-cream. This is one of the best souffle that we have tried so far. It is very light and soft, and you can almost feel nothing at all in your mouth.

My dessert. Forgot what is the name of this dessert. This is nothing to shout about and it taste normal. 3 scoups of vanilla ice-cream in between crispy waffle. The only good thing is that the waffle still remains crispy despite been covered with the melted ice-cream.

Ok, time to eat liao. The ice-cream is "perspiring" so much that one of them dropped its hat!

Mixing in process ......

Gal caught licking off the last bit of the hazelnut creme .... =p

Enjoying our coffees and chatting away.....
Good way of passing time on a lazy Sunday =p

This way to the kitchen.
Vintage set-up ....

So this is the rabbit hole, where rabbits are found.

and the rabbits appeared !!!
Wahahaha ..... Opps, 2 old rabbits !! =p

Gal is always so happy whenever she sees a swing

Just as we are about to leave the place, we spotted Saga tree at the backyard as well. There were lots of saga seeds scattered around. Never did we expect to spend nearly 4 hrs here.
