Cakes time!

Finally, the window grilles at our house were fixed, thanks to my FIL and BIL!

And it's feasting time! Gal had purchased some vouchers online for a pastry shop located in Duxton Road and we decided to use it before it expires. Here we are at Bonheur Patisserie Cafe, and Bonheur means Happiness in french! (^_^)

The interior of the shop looks simple and nice.

Spotted something which resembles the Piggy character in the Angry Birds game.

Due to the popular demand of the cakes perhaps, there was a few selections of the cakes left for us. I chose the Caramel Opera cake as i prefer something sweet. It consist of the mixture of Coffee, Caramel and Chocolate. It is delicious, the cake was not too dry, and it was very soft.

 

Gal's cake was pretty good as well. Forgot what's the name of this cake, was actually recommended to us by the person. The cake was very light, with a nice strawberry flavor.

 

The cakes are lovely, but the coffees are disappointing. We were expecting nice cups of coffee to go with the cakes, just like what we had at K Ki.

 

They actually also do provide Bespoke cakes for occasions like birthdays .......

Suddenly, the Tanjong Pagar / Duxton areas seems to have quite a few nice pastries shops, just a like mini dessert paradise. Other than Bonheur Patisserie, there is the famous Flor Patisserie, Patisserie Glace and K Ki Cafe. Two more pastries shops to conquer!
