It's Kim's Birthday !! =p

It's finally Sat. Went to pick my gal up before heading to town for shopping. Along the way, decided to drop by our soon-to-be house. The date of completion was estimated to be around 2nd quarter of 2011, and that's like another year to go.

Feeling a bit sad to be leaving the east side and settling in SK cos east side seems to be a lot more convenient compare to SK. Nevertheless, this appears to be the best choice, given the price and the date of completion at that point of time. when we made the decision. Guess we can't complain much either. The thought of having all the major events coming in next year is stressful, especially when the standard of living in Singapore is pretty high.

Head down to Orchard for our usual shopping before meeting up with my buddies to celebrate Kim's Birthday. Had dinner at Suki Yaki, was busy cooking throughout the session, hence not much photos. Anyway, overall experience was not very good. The food was not worth the price. The only fun thing was the DIY ice-cream session.

Garlic, Butter prawns =p

The DIY ice-cream making session. Finally got a chance to take a break and let them do the job =p Roy seems to be enjoying it the most. There were a variety of ice-cream flavors, indicated by the different colors. But some of them taste weird =s

Look at the Bday Gal's expressions =p

This is the first try by the ice-cream chef, Roy....
Err...... the brown thingy....
it resembles something (>_<)

Wahaha, Ice-Cream force into Kim's mouth !! (^_-)

Ice cream chef at work again ...... But it looks like a big big waffle ......
One Chocolate Waffle pls !! (^o^)

trying to make my ice-cream more appealing and delicious =p

After the dinner, we headed down to Prinsep St for board games @ The Hangout Cafe. Great games, pretty cheap rates and good host by the shop assistants. They joined in for some games and had a entertaining session, lots of laughter throughout. Ended the nite at ard 3am. (^o^) Next time will consider coming back to this cafe again! Great company !

Wedding show @ Sheraton Tower.

Signed up for the Wedding Fair @ Sheraton Towers few weeks back. Was not expecting much from this event as it was FOC. Our main aim was to check out the layout ballrooms and the themes available.

This wedding fair offered nothing much compared to the previous few that we went to. Two ballrooms with different thems on display, one customise wedding bands retailer, one photography services, La Belle Bridal shop, and last nails services.

There are two ballrooms in Sheraton. The smaller one has a maximum capacity of 144 people while the main ballroom has a maximum capacity of 540 people. The number of people per table is 12, unlike the usual 10. The hotel has also provided quite a nice spread of food for the event, much to our surprise.

Met Ken, my ex colleague and Jason, my sec sch friend at the event. Took a few photos using my iphone. Forgot to charge my cam batt, hence no nice photos. After the wedding, head to Sengkang for a dinner with Annie's families, her Grandma's birthday.

A Lazy Monday ......

Time seemed to pass very slowly today. Probably due to HK holiday, not much things on hand and was able to finish work early. In another word, EFFICIENT !!! I was surprised that the sky was still pretty bright when i reach home. Decided to snap the transition from daylight to nightfall.

After a few shots, hurried down to Storm for my haircut. Hair is thick and messy already.

Wedding Fair @ One Rochester

Signed up for the wedding fair few weeks back and it's finally here. This wedding fair focused on the solemnization ceremony instead of the tradition chinese wedding dinner. As this event is organised by One Rochester Group, was expecting lots of nice outdoor deco, not to mention the food too.

It was drizzling when we make our way down and was wondering would this actually affect the outdoor deco. Reached Bouna Vista @ ard 2.30pm. Lost our way as we have made a turn earlier. There was another couple in front of us and they got the paisei look, probably thinking that they were leading the wrong way.

Called Ros to confirm the place and found it. Registered and exploredthe area, guided by a PR Manger, Sammy. Sammy showed us the around, sharing with us the perks and the price of the the package.

The first room that Sammy brought us to was the theme by One Caramel. Nice Stairway up the room. Lots of nice pastries and tiered cakes. My gal was mesmerised by all the nice pastries and cakes.

Nice unique tiered cakes !!
Can you bear to eat it ??

the wobbly cake, it's falling !!!!!

Nice theme, it does really look elegant

Walking down to the next room .....
the 1 Altitude .....

Cost of holding solemization here, $300++ per pax
OMG !!! =s

one of the favors .....

the buffet section ......
still in the process of setting up .....

the pastries section !!!!
it's so colorful, brighten up one's day !!

the pastries princess with her yummy cakes (^0^)

Finally the buffet section is open. There were lots of ugly singaporean. As the buffet counter was on a round table in the middle of the room, was expecting the people to grab their food and move on. Instead, the people juz hogged the whole area and eat on the spot. They are not moving aside for others to take their share. Morever, most of them would juz stood by their fav dish, keep eating and refilling at the same time. Faintz......

Not wanting to squeeze with the rest, grabbed some food and find seats outside to enjoy the food and wine.

the solemnization area .....

beach wedding theme @ 1 Twenty-Six ......
didn't expect one would have to rent the beach area from LTA for ard $2-3k ..... =s

This is a real couple going through the whole solemnization process for the guests to have a feel of the program flow. The flower gal and ring bearer are acutally their kids !! The ring bearer, Daniel is very cute !!!! Beautiful Mum too =)

Daniel is really so cute, but hard to take photos of him. Stage was quite far from me. Would i be able to find cute flower gal and page boy too ??

byebye Daniel !!

Left the place close to 10pm. There was some miscommunication between the package offers that was told earlier by Sammy. Lucky that we actually get a wedding planner to go through all the items and checklist again. Was definitely much more assured than Sammy, where he seems to be in a hurry to close the deal tat's all. Appreciate that May actually took some time off to explain and show us her portfolio. Hope everything turns out well.
