Promise gal that I'll bring her to K Ki to satisfy her cakes craving, and here we were at K Ki. It was Sunday, the last day before my reservist starts. Hence we decided to go on a feasting craze. We had breakfast @ MOS earlier and a little walk at Parkway Parade before coming to K Ki.
Btw, K Ki means cake in Japanese, and not the "Ke Qi" in dialect.
K Ki is a small cozy cafe located at Ann Siang Hill. We regretted not coming here earlier. Most of the cakes were already sold out, leaving only 2 choices left despite that it was only 3pm.
Touring around the shop and finding our childhood memories ......
Gal loves anything tat's looks sleepy or dreamy.....Grumpy catz at the top right corner ...
simple stuffs form the past seems to be in demand nowadays ....
I should start keeping some stuffs too =p
But they are good !
The rectangular one is call Kinabaru, and the bottom is Cafe Dumo
Gal's cake looks big in her hand but mine looks small =p
Kinabaru (left): Layers of coconut mousse, passion fruit creme and chocolate sponge base. This mousse cake is quite different from the normal mousse cake. One would not feel sick eating it after a few mouthful. When someone like my gal who detest mousse cake says it good, well it can't be that bad.
Cafe Dumo (right): It's a mixture of chocolate and coffee. Coffee lovers may love this cake. Taste bitter sweet and i love it !
Gal loves taking cross-sectional shots =p
It's a pity that we don't get to try the more popular cakes like Antoinette, Mont Blanc, Mona and the Strawberry Tart. However, we were not disappointed with the cakes that we had today either. We will definitely be back for the cakes and the latte soon !!
