Count-down @ Marina Barrage

Last year, we gathered at Timbre at Art House for the New Year's countdown, but the view of the fireworks was blocked. This year, we heard that we may be able to catch a great view at the Marina Barrage, hence we head off to the area after dinner.

A huge crowd has already gathered by the time we have reached the place, despite it been only 10.30pm. We still managed to find a small area to sit and have our snacks and some wine before the countdown starts. Many avid photographers have set up their tripod, waiting for the moment to come.

I forgot to bring my tripod along, hence can only tried to capture the photo as stable as possible. Some random shots before the fireworks.

And the fireworks began!

But alas, the view was blocked by Marina Bay Sands building! >.<

But quite a disappointment for most of us

The red dot on the photo was actually the Kong Ming (Sky) Lantern.

Surprise to see it here in Singapore.

And this had a pumpkin face! So funny! Usually wishes were written on these lantern before they are been released into the sky.

New Year's Countdown @ Timbre Art House

Met up with my buddies after work @ Timbre for dinner cum mini countdown party. There were miscommunication, with me and Roy arriving at Substation instead of the Art House. Luckily the rest were still able to get a table for 10 people !

Goodfellas was the band performing @ Art House. We were expecting a great happening nite from them but it turn out to be quite boring. Perhaps the performance from 53A a week ago at Substation was so high and fun, and we came with a high expectation and tend to make comparisons between them.

We ended up in our own world partying away and entertaining ourselves =p

We were so hungry that nite that we gobbled down any food that was been served. Took only a few photos of the food and tapas tat nite. The buffaloes chicken wings were nice and spicy, not too oily nor over-fried.

Or was it because we were all quite hungry?

These were 2 other pizzas that we ordered, other than the Duck Pizza. I Still find the Duck Pizza best ! =p

At ard 11.30pm, the staffs were issuing out party stuffs to all the patrons ....

We are all ready for the countdown !! =p

though the view was not very good....

Happy New Year everyone !!! Hope 2011 would be a fantastic year for everyone !!! For me, 2011 is gonna to be a busy year for me, with so many big events coming up. Hope everything goes well for me!! =)
