Mum' Birthday!

After Belle's baby shower, gal and I walked around in town before joining up with my family at Oriole to celebrate my Mum's birthday in advance. Gal and I were giving it another chance as the last experience 2 yrs ago wasn't really good.

I was in a"anyhow shoot mood" tonight. Lighting was poor and the food didn't look appetizing. Some random food shots.

One Nite Stay @ Meritus Mandarin

Won a one night weekend stay at Meritus Mandarin Hotel back in Dec 09 when we attended the wedding show. Made a reservation @ 2.30pm but was told by the staff to come back an hr later as the room was not ready yet. We went to grab some bites and loiter around Takashimaya and Wisma to pass time.

Came back at 3.30pm and was again advised by the staff to come back another hr later as the room was still not ready yet. What is this ???? I have never encountered such a situation overseas before !! Both of us were not very happy about it. Told the staff that we have already waited for an hr and they want us to wait for another hour ??

After some complain, the staff apologised and upgraded our room to a suite f.o.c . While waiting for the arrangement done, a hotel guest was shouting at the staffs, apparently not happy about their attitude and the long waiting time. He was saying almost all the staffs were serving the guest with an unhappy happy and some staffs were actually idling. Faintz.... Can you imagine if I'm a tourist and i gotta wait 2 hrs before i can check-in ? This will definitely disrupt my itinerary.

Finally checked in @ 3.50pm ......
