Night View of the House

It has been a busy weekend for us. We have not visit our house for the whole week, hence decided to drop by to check on the progress.

The cove light at the far end has been rectified and the mirror at the dining table was up!! The mirror in the living room makes the area look bigger.

the dining area

The mirror at the master bathroom was installed as well

and so was the cushion for the bay side window

Gal was trying out the cushion. We were happy that everything was proceeding as planned and there were no major issue with the ID. Looks like it is nearing the end of the renovation. Gotta start cleaning the house liao to prepare for the arrival of the furniture and electrical appliances.

Mid Autumn Festival

Mid Autumn Festival is around the corner. Still remember how much fun we had last year, where we were all celebrating and having fun @ East Coast Park. Can't imagine how drastic a person can change.

We went to the Mooncake Fair at Takashimaya and tried a variety of mooncakes before settling for the Royal China mooncake from Raffles, again. This year, there is no Teochew style Yam mooncake for me. =(

Some mooncake ad ?? =p

Wedding Prepartions

Two months to our wedding date and we had to start buying the customary items for the "Guo Da Li" and the Tea Ceremony. We went to Chinatown to source for all the items, where it is much cheaper than most shops.

Bedside Lamps and Tea pot set for the Tea Ceremony

The modern "Long Feng Zhu" (Dragon; Phoenix Candle) at the background ......

Feasting @ Jewels Artisan Chocolate

Wedding preparations are tough, that's y we need something to de-stress. And chocolates can do wonder !

gal's reflection ....

Slurpy cold Hazelnut and Milk Chocolate Slushes.
Yummy, smooth, thick and so chocolate-y !!
Juz my kind of drink ! =p

Macarons in pastel colors.
They dun only look pretty, they were simply delicious too !

savoring the macarons ..... =p~~

Desserts, Dark Chocolate Larva Cake with Ice-Cream. We juz can't stop eating! One of the nicest Larva Cake that we have came across. And it goes well with both the milk chocolate and the raspberry toppings!!

Warm, rich chocolate oozing out ......
It is juz so heavenly !
Will definitely be back for the macarons and the larva cake! =)

Our 6th Anniversary

Today was our 6th Anniversary, and this year, the celebration was a simple one. As we still have coupons left from the previous purchase for Krish, we decided to have our dinner there.

Gal with her Polaroids ......

My glass of white wine with the complimentary bites from the chef ......

The starter, King Prawn Salad. I always fear eating big prawns, for it will be smelly if it is not fresh. Thankfully, the prawn was fresh and it was quite delicious. The sauce was able to seep through the shell of the prawn, giving the meat a sweet taste.

The other starter for the night, Purple Potato Gnocchi. Sounds chim but it is Duck Confit, with Marsala Wine and light cream. This is the best dish for the night and it was in our stomach within a few seconds ! =p

A Must-try dish if you are there!

Cheers ! =)

Gal's main dish, Seared Sea Bass. Pretty normal, and it had a Indian flavor. Btw, did i mention that Krish is an Indian Fine Dining Restaurant ?

My Tandoori Stuffed Chicken Roulade. I was expecting a larger portion when i ordered. There's peas, raisin tamarind chutney and spiced potato. Not the kind of Tandoori Chicken that i expect.

The last course for the dinner, Dessert! The waitress recommended to us the, Fudge Cake, Espresso Brulee paired with Orange Blossom Ice-Cream. Pretty good!

Lights Upz !!!!

We have received a call from our ID that the lightning was up! We will be able to visit our flat anytime we wish to with the lights! Yippee!!

Our dinning corner, with the inverted champagne glasses crystals lighting.....

The down lights and the cove lighting in the living room

The missing shelves of the TV console was installed as well.
TV Wall feature and Console checked !

Big round light for the kitchen

The toilet lighting ....

One of the lighting that i like best =)

The cove lighting and the down lights at the walk-in wardrobe cum study area

Missing shelves in !

Spotted some defects in one of the racks .....

and the doors too .....

lastly, the lights in our master bedroom =)

Looks like it is nearing completion. Can't wait to decorate our house !

Dad's Birthday Celebration @ Ootoya

We were celebrating my Dad's Birthday @ Ootoya, Orchard Central Branch. We were choosing between a Korean Restaurant opp and Ootoya, and decide to settle here as most of the Korean dishes were either spicy or contains beef.

Some of the starters that we have ordered ......

Potato Croquette !
but it wasn't good ..... =(

The Tonkatsu was not fantastic as well.....
Saboten's still the best !!

Even the Saba fish was a bit dry and without any sauce.
Pretty plain ..... Saba is my favorite fish! =(

Mini Salmon bowl

One of the few dishes that was nice .....

This wasn't not too bad too ....
Terriyaki Chicken? kinda of forgot the actual name of the dish ....

My Katsu Don ........

Ootoya seems to be over-rated and the food wasn't tat great compared to Tonkichi or Saboten, though it may have a wider selection of food. Regretted for choosing this over the Korean food.
